Aligned Carbon Nanotube Arrays and Forests
In addition to the custom arrays we synthesize, listed below are stock VANTA Vertically Aligned Carbon Nanotube Arrays made by Thermal CVD (CNT site density: ~1010-1011CNTs/cm2) grown on various substrates. Each forest is grown from an iron/alumina catalyst that is deposited on the substrate. As these are one-of-a-kind items, they are available in single quantities only.
Some of these forests or 'carpets' were produced for our NASA funded effort to develop optical "super black" coatings, and have very low reflectance values in the visible and infrared. Let us know if you have optical absorber applications in mind, and we will guide you to the arrays that have the best properties in the optical or infrared spectrum. If these arrays fit your needs, the nanotube carpets can be shipped to you the same day.
