PECVD-MWCNT Suspensions
PECVD (plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition) multiwall carbon nanotube suspensions are prepared by suspending the vertically aligned carbon nanotubes (harvested from Si substrates) into a variety of solvents, such as DMF, Ethanol, THF, Acetone, Toluene, DI water, etc. The PECVD carbon nanotubes have an arrow-like body with ferromagnetic nickel particles embedded in their tips. There are a number of potential applications for PECVD nanotube suspensions. As a powerful biological tool for highly efficient gene transfer into a variety of cells, the PECVD carbon nanotube suspensions were employed to perforate cell walls(for cells that are not easily transfected).
We are able to tailor PECVD nanotubes to different lengths and diameters for suspensions (listed in table below), and can customize nanotube dimensions to customer specifications.
